We’d like to share an update to our fee structure at Little Tree Psychology. As a practice, we’ve made the decision to adjust our standard rate to $225 per hour, effective immediately. This change helps us cover the growing costs of running a practice while allowing us to continue delivering the high level of care you’ve come to expect. That said, some of our practitioners have opted to keep their rate at $220 per hour, ensuring a bit of flexibility within our team.
We understand that finances can sometimes be a barrier to accessing mental health support, so we’re committed to offering reduced rates on a case-by-case basis for those without health benefits.
Thank you for your continued trust in us. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out at hello@littletreepsychology.com. We’re here to help.
Warmly, Little Tree Psychology
Ana Zulic Registered Provisional Psychologist | #P7733
I know how painful it can be to feel like you don’t quite fit—whether it’s in your family, your relationship, your workplace, or within yourself. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to navigate a world that demands high performance while carrying deep, painful beliefs about yourself—perhaps feeling like the ‘black sheep’ or struggling with a diagnosis. These internal struggles can leave you feeling disconnected, stuck, or uncertain about how to move forward. If you ever feel like life could just be better somehow, you’re in the right place.
Therapy provides a space where a person can be truly seen and heard, often in ways they haven’t experienced before. When someone’s suffering feels deeply understood, their nervous system can settle, allowing them to explore emotions, challenge long-held beliefs, and experiment with new ways of being. This process isn’t just intellectual—it’s experiential. The therapist-client relationship itself becomes a model for healthier attachment, emotional regulation, and self-acceptance. By engaging in this deeply personal work, you don’t just learn new coping skills—you internalize a new way of relating to yourself and the world. This shift is what creates lasting change.
As a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I provide a compassionate, experiential, and emotionally focused approach to therapy, helping people uncover the unconscious patterns that shape their lives. By integrating systemic perspectives with modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help guide my clients toward greater clarity, resilience, and self-acceptance. I also work with children and teens using Play Therapy, EMDR, and expressive arts.
I believe healing is always possible, and there is no deadline. Maybe healing isn’t about becoming the ‘best version of yourself’—perhaps, healing is letting the worst version of yourself be loved. I am here to walk with you on that journey, back to yourself, when you’re ready.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change. People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don’t find myself saying, “Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner.” I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”

You’re here for a reason. A part of you is ready for change, clarity, relief, or a life that feels more aligned. Moments like this don’t happen by accident, they happen when something inside starts shifting. Sometimes that shift happens because we are tired of the pain, and sometimes the pain becomes unbearable and we’re left with no choice but to ask for help.
Most of us learn a particular way of responding to pain based on what we’ve lived through. We develop emotional habits, ways of protecting ourselves, coping, shutting down, pushing through, or staying strong, without ever being taught how to understand what we feel or how those feelings shape our choices. These patterns aren’t wrong, they’re familiar. But as we evolve, they don’t always support the version of ourselves we’re trying to step into.
My role as a therapist is to walk alongside you and help guide you toward a place of greater alignment with yourself and your story. We start from wherever you are, and we go at your pace. I’m here to sit with you through all that you feel-the heaviness, the overwhelm, the helplessness, the confusion, the excitement, the joy. Whatever emotion you’re feeling and whatever place you’re in is where we begin. Feeling unconditionally accepted and heard is what you can expect in the space we share in therapy.
Together, we’ll create direction and set meaningful goals that help move you into growth. We will identify the patterns that keep you stuck, build tools that support you emotionally and practically, and take realistic steps toward the changes you want to see. You won’t be doing this alone- we will actively work toward the version of yourself you’re ready to step into.
I am a student therapist completing my Master of Counselling Psychology through City University of Seattle in Edmonton. I also bring extensive experience working with children and teens in trauma settings, which has shaped my ability to meet clients with patience and attunement in moments of emotional difficulty.
The answers aren’t outside of you. They’re within you. Together, we’ll bring them forward so you can step into a life that feels aligned and true to you.

Hi, my name is Stephen, and I’m a registered psychologist with a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle.
I think it’s important to recognize how difficult it is to reach out for help, and I’m so grateful that you’ve chosen to reach out to me. Going to therapy is tough, and that’s because being vulnerable is tough. I believe that we all have a tremendous ability to heal, change, and grow. We cruise through the day, not often giving much thought to the encounters we have, but in reality, there’s a brain behind the scenes working furiously to course-correct and catalog every moment of our lives. Sometimes, it’s important to pull the veil aside and take a moment to check and see how the narrative is unfolding. That’s why I believe that through awareness, acceptance, and exploration of ourselves through meaning making, we can all overcome the difficulties in our lives. Taking a moment to give our thoughts and feelings the attention they deserve, is crucial to the healthy functioning of the individual.
In the past my primary area of experience has been in sexual trauma, as counsellor working at the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton. However, today I see a variety of different individuals with unique and diverse needs. I treat PTSD and trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress and burnout, and many other life difficulties people may experience.’ Typically, I operate from evidence-based treatments and believe in the neurobiological understanding of psychology, utilizing empirically validated treatment methods to help my clients grow through their challenges.
I welcome adult clients of all backgrounds, non-binary individuals, and people of all gender identities, gender expression, and sexual orientation.’

I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Alberta. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alberta, as well as a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge.
My approach to counselling incorporates techniques from various therapeutic models. Every person brings a unique life experience and a way of making sense of the world. I believe therapy works best when it is tailored to you, your needs, your pace, your strengths and goals. I bring a strengths-based, collaborative approach to therapy, focusing on helping clients better understand themselves and build a life that is more sustainable, authentic, and aligned with their values.
I have a special interest in working with neurodivergent clients. I was diagnosed with ADHD later in my life. Receiving my diagnosis shaped my path towards a career that I am so grateful to work in – it has also strengthened my commitment to helping others feel seen, understood, and supported. My lived experience allows me to offer therapy that is not only evidence-based but is also grounded in an understanding of the challenges and strengths that come with being neurodivergent. Together, we can focus on understanding your experiences, developing practical skills and self-compassion, while also honouring that many struggles are shaped by systems that were not designed for neurodivergent people in mind.
Regarding my personal life, I am blessed to have a strong support system of family and friends. I enjoy travelling, spending time outdoors, shopping for antiques, gardening, and watching football. I especially adore spending time with my two dogs.

(He/Him/His)
Hello there!
My name is Justin Lessard (he/him/his) and I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist. As a former university athlete with a diverse sporting and movement background, I understand firsthand the complex relationship between performance, identity, and wellbeing. I believe that sport is not something we simply do—it is deeply interconnected with who we are, shaping our sense of self, relationships, values, and life experiences.
My approach is collaborative, personalized, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I work with athletes, performers, students, professionals, and individuals navigating high-performance environments, recognizing that every person’s experiences, strengths, and challenges are unique. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Existential approaches, I help clients build psychological flexibility, resilience, self-awareness, and sustainable performance.
As someone who lives with neurodiversity and has both professional training and lived experience in neurodivergence, I bring a nuanced understanding of the ways different minds experience performance, motivation, attention, emotion, and identity. I am neurodiversity-affirming, neurodiversity-educated, and committed to supporting clients in ways that honour their individual needs and strengths.
I also recognize that performance does not occur in a vacuum. Systemic, cultural, social, and environmental factors can profoundly influence wellbeing, access, opportunity, and achievement. My work seeks to understand the broader context of each person’s experience while supporting meaningful growth and change.
I am a queer- and trans-allied practitioner committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and affirming space where clients can explore both performance and personal development authentically and safely.
Whether you are striving for excellence in sport, navigating performance challenges, or exploring your relationship with movement and identity, I aim to provide a supportive and thoughtful space for growth. Together, we can build the skills, insight, and resilience needed to pursue what matters most to you—both in performance and in life.

Hi! I’m glad you’re here.
My name is Kelcey, and I am excited to be joining the team at Little Tree. While my career began as a teacher, I have been working with children and teens for most of my life. From babysitting to being a camp counsellor to teaching and then to school counselling, I have had the privilege of connecting with many young people. The obstacles you may face and the emotions you deal with as a young person today are complicated and can feel overwhelming – you don’t need to face them alone. Having worked in high schools for the past eight years, I specialize in supporting teens (13-19) with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and challenging family or home situations. I have extensive experience working cross-culturally and with clients of all gender identities and sexual orientations. I am tremendously grateful every time someone invites me to be a part of their story, and I am looking forward to building more relationships at Little Tree.
My approach to counselling is deeply humanistic and person-centred. I believe in the transformational power of a strong therapeutic relationship, and I strive to show up authentically for you in our counselling space. Together we will explore not only the challenges that may have brought you to counselling but also your unique identity and strengths. We will work to gain insight into yourself and build the life you want. From the foundation of a strong relationship, I tend to draw on cognitive-behavioural, dialectical-behavioural, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to best meet the needs and goals of each client. I am always learning alongside my clients and also enjoy incorporating expressive arts and play into therapy.
Outside of my work, you’ll find me watching food shows and trying my best to replicate dishes in the kitchen, cuddling my cats and reading young adult fantasy or booking my next plane ticket!

Life can feel overwhelming, and emotions don’t always make sense—but you don’t have to figure it out alone. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, or just feeling stuck, I’m here to provide a supportive space where you can explore, process, and build the skills to move forward with confidence.
Hi! I’m Brenna Oswald, a Registered Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and a permanent teacher in Alberta.
Who I Work With
I support children, teens, young adults, and families in navigating:
• Anxiety, depression, and grief • School stress, academic challenges, and peer relationships • Life transitions and big changes • Eating disorders and body image concerns • Emotional regulation and behavioural struggles
How I Approach Therapy
Therapy shouldn’t feel like a lecture—it’s a collaborative, engaging process that adapts to your needs. I take a whole-body, somatic approach, recognizing the deep connection between emotions, thoughts, and the nervous system. Depending on what works best for you, I incorporate:
• Somatic Experiencing Therapy (tuning into the body to help release stress and trauma)
• Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) (practical skills for emotional regulation, resilience, and self-acceptance)
• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) (rewiring unhelpful thought patterns)
• Motivational Interviewing (guiding you toward meaningful change, at your own pace)
• Play Therapy (because sometimes the best healing happens through creativity and expression!)
• Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) (building self-awareness and calm through mindfulness)
When I’m not working, you can usually find me hanging out with my dog, Marvin. He’s got a questionable sense of self-control when it comes to collecting toys from Homesense (honestly, same). Marvin sometimes joins me in therapy sessions, offering an extra layer of comfort and support for those who enjoy a furry friend’s company.
If you’re considering therapy, let’s connect—I’d love to see how we can work together to make life feel a little lighter.

Modern western medicine has made us believe that treatment of any kind is to be solely approached from a symptom-based approach. I firmly believe that the latter stance may be the reason why we are currently faced with a national mental health crisis. Solution: I believe that each individual needs and deserves personalized holistic care. My holistic approach to therapy addresses the mind, body, and spirit, ensuring that we uncover the root causes of your challenges and create a personalized treatment plan that promotes lasting well-being. By integrating mental, emotional, physical, and lifestyle factors, I empower you to achieve sustainable recovery and lead a more balanced and fulfilling life. This approach takes time, but with your commitment, we will venture to get you results as fast as possible. Result: Over time, you will begin to recognize your central role in your own life, developing the capacity to gain or regain control over the negative experiences you have encountered.
Experience:
Dr. Benning is a registered provisional psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from California Southern University and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Hertfordshire, UK. He brings experience from both private practice and community-based settings, where he has treated a wide spectrum of conditions, from interpersonal challenges to severe psychological disorders. Who I work With
I specialize in working with growth-minded individuals and ambitious professionals who struggle with motivation, emotional disconnection, anxious overthinking, and chronic shame so they can find purposeful direction, prioritize themselves, and be more present in their lives. Often, these are young adults (20-35) still searching for their unique superpowers, or mature leaders (50+) who are buckling under the compounding weight of unresolved “stuff”. The root feeling is the same — exhaustion, cycling between throwing themselves into life and pulling away from it entirely; always chasing feeling “good enough. ”Clients regularly articulate my ability to “get it” quickly, ask nuanced and insightful questions they “would’ve never considered”, and share guidance that resonates and is “genuinely useful.” Together, therapy becomes a mirror of their lives, a non-judgemental place to land, and a close, collaborative relationship in which they rediscover their own voice.
What a session looks like
Sessions with me will rarely feel clinical; more like a meaningful conversation. Sometimes clients have a dedicated focus that sets our intention for our time together. More often, we begin by simply reflecting on the past week or two, and naturally, your pressing needs start to reveal themselves, offering entry points for us to dive deeper and work through them. Typically, we move through our lives listening to only certain parts of ourselves, while rigorously dismissing, suppressing, and compartmentalizing others. The goal of our time together is to ensure all parts of you have a ‘seat at the table’, so you can make grounded and informed decisions. As a result, much of my expertise is focused through the lens of attachment and early experience. These set our defaults, and thus they play important roles in creating lasting change.
What you’ll take away
Regardless of your intention for therapy, I can assure you there are no “right” answers here. There are, however, “meaningful” ones. Those will be intimately your own, and we will undoubtedly find them. As your awareness builds, you will inevitably reach a plateau in the value new insight provides you. This is where most therapy gets stuck — yet these are the crucial intersections to reflect:‘now that we know a few things, what do we want to do about it?’ If you’re dedicated, our time together will transform from insight development to small 2mm behavioural shifts that slowly add up, and finally big steps that fundamentally rewire how you regard yourself and approach the world around you. Purpose and direction will become clearer, your capacity will recharge, and action and decisions will become noticeably easier, regardless of what comes of them. If any of this resonates, we’re likely a good match. I’ll support you in understanding your patterns, rewiring your brain and nervous system for stability and safety, and will always reflect back what I see honestly and as my real self. No BS, just two people giving what they have.Transparency and vulnerability breathe easily here, trust follows, and meaningful growth compounds. Simple.
